| Robbers fire at victims after botched robbery attempt |

  GREAT BAY, Two Jamaican nationals are now counting their mercies as their lives was spared when an intended robbery failed. Reports are that the incident occurred around 9:00pm on Sunday in the area of Miracle Drive, Cole Bay. Three masked men, armed with shot guns and a machete, entered the men’s home and demanded cash. When no money was provided, a shot was fired in the direction of one of the victims, but fortunately missed and shattered a window. He was in the bedroom at the time.  The other man was in the living room and was ordered to lie on floor. A shot was reportedly fired there as well and another as the robbers left the house, speeding off in a car that was parked close by. No one was hurt and police are investigating the matter. Three spent shells were recovered from the scene. It is unclear whether the men simply had no money to hand over or they refused.
