  GREAT BAY—The Island Government this week released the 28 monuments on the monuments lists. This is in accordance with article 5 of the Island Monuments Ordinance St. Maarten (AB2000, Nr. 1). The Executive Council makes known that in its meetings of 26-07-05 and 04-03-08, it has been decided to declare the following twenty-eight (28) properties as protected monuments: 1. Fort Amsterdam 2. Union Farm 3. Vineyard Building 4. Methodist Church 5. Methodist Manse 6. Brick Building (at Methodist yard) 7. Guavaberry Emporium 8. Passanggrahan Royal Guest House 9. Bishop Hill 10. Madame Estate 11. L.B. Scot Road # 105 12. Dutch Reform Church 13. Mary’s Fancy 14. Frontstreet #134 15. The White House 16. Zoutfabriek Foga 17. Plantage Belvedere 18. Verkaveling Zoutpan 19. Backstreet #171 20. Backstreet #153 21. Backstreet #152 22. Backstreet #93 23. Donchee’s Café and Bake Shop 24. Backstreet #28 25. St. Joseph Convent 26. Courthouse 27. Frontstreet #113 28. Emilio Wilson Estate “The aforementioned Executive Council decisions are hereby placed on public review at the Government Administration Building the day after this publication for a period of thirty (30) days,” a statement from Executive Council said.
