| Edwards to head basketball squad in CBC Games sports |

  Great Bay- When the CBC Junior Basketball tournament convenes in Antigua from August 11 to 18, a team from St Maarten will be representing the Netherlands Antilles at this level for the very first time. And the man to head the delegation is no other than Mark Edwards who will have as his head coach Gordon St Luce assisted by Jamal Newton and Emmanuel York as the delegation leader. The local team which was formed by players in the U-17 category that competed in the Nagico tournament and the Soualiga tournament will be up against teams from the USVI, Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and hosts, Antigua & Barbuda. “I am very confident that the young team will do well because we have two good coaches and a manager that saw the senior team to glory in the recent international tournament, they are in capable hands” said York. The trip is being made possible through the Island Government and they will be traveling next Monday evening.  The members of the National U-17 Basketball squad with Coaches St Luce and Newton.
